Congratulations Betty Chimney on being a finalist in the Wynne Prize 2021.

‘My painting is about the country that is my home, Indulkana. I feel truly connected to the place I’m painting and it’s incredibly important to me. As I paint I am thinking about stories and my memories of the different places. This country is beautiful and it is special.’ Betty Chimney.

Michael Reid SYDNEY will be showcasing a collaborative exhibition of  new works by Betty Chimney and her daughter Raylene Walatinna. Our Country will share paintings by the mother daughter artist duo who’s collaborative works surround stories of their home Indulkana. This exhibition will be on display from June 17th to July 10th.
