The painting depicts designs associated with the rock hole and soakage water sites of Marrapinti, situated in a creek, west of the Pollock Hills also Ngminya and Yunala two near by sites.
A group of women, represented by the ‘U ‘ shapes, travelled through these sites. While at Marrapinti they performed the ceremonies associated with the area. During their travels they gather the edible berries and seeds growing in the country through which they pass.
This is a museum standard work in terms of both its quality and size.
