Pippin Drysdale’s exquisite ceramics reflect her experience – both on the ground and from the air – of the vastness and variety of the Australian landscape.

The tall, conical-shaped porcelain vessels are thrown by her long-time, collaborative artistic partner Warwick Palmenteer.  Drysdale then applies glazes in subtle gradations of colour or vibrant swirls and crackles and etches their surfaces with a delicate tracery of lines and marks.

Although Drysdale confesses to having found a personal equilibrium through her work, she is never complacent. Every day in the studio is a challenge to create, revise and perfect her art; a constant journey that has so far spanned over 40 years.

Drysdale has an impressive international profile and has exhibited in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Holland, India and Japan.
