Some might say Dragon are a New Zealand band but they have some pretty strong ties to Australia and in the ARIA Hall of Fame – Dragon are part of that pub rock scene of the 70s and 80s and coincidentally both the lead singer and bass player are Hunters – the song is shout out to all the knockers who might not recognise the beauty that is Newcastle and also those that recognise how hard it holds on to the locals whether they live there or not.
