Figures hurtle towards an uncertain fate. Like Alice through the looking glass, the world is turned on its head. Are they falling or flying?
Palace of Dreams is acclaimed Australian photographer Tamara Dean’s most recent series which made it’s worldwide debut at Sydney Contemporary 2022. In this series, Dean disorientates her subjects using a purpose built underwater studio. With Palace of Dreams Tamara Dean successfully choreographs a dreamlike world, illustrated across eight gravity defying subjects.
