Sydney Contemporary 2026

Michael Reid Sydney + Berlin returns to Carriageworks this September for the 10th anniversary edition of Sydney Contemporary, presenting exceptional new work by more than 20 artists at the forefront of Australian painting, photography, sculpture and installation. Our expansive presentation offers a sweeping survey of Australian art today, bringing together many of the country’s most original, acclaimed and in-demand creative voices and celebrating the here-and-now of their practice. From artists marking major career milestones to those making their Michael Reid debut, our Sydney Contemporary exhibition represents a dynamic and diverse cross-section of Australian contemporary art at a defining moment in these artists’ careers.
